Here's 14 backgrounds for you, ranging from Awesome to sorta neat...

Im just playing around with some mathmatical texel patterns seeing what I can come up with.. this one sets the texel pattern from the center of the sprite without the a^2+b^2=c^2 calculation.

The first one is my favorite (#0)
