Lua Baby Steps

A very insignificant moment for you, but a small, but nice one for me. I decided to start small with lua, as everyone does, so I figured I'd draw some simple sprites and lines. I do have one question though, is there a major difference between principia specific lua scripting and lua scripting for other things? For example, if I went elsewhere and learned something new about variables, or just something random, would there be a big difference between applying it here, and elsewhere?
