Two & three pawl converters. Ratchets!

Both machines convert reciprocating movements into rotating motion.
The left one turns the cog wheel c.c.w
The right one due to the blue pawls shape give a clock wise rotation.
It also has a spring loaded safety pawl .
I've changed the pawl shapes many times but not able to make it run smoother.
Just some more old time mechanical moves :)
